ON LOCATION

I purchased my first banquet camera in 2002.  It was a Korona 8x20 Banquet Camera over 80 years old.  There had been some restoration done.  .  . mainly on the hardware and wood.  However the rear tilt mechanism had deteriorated over the years.  J.B. disassembled the camera and rebuilt the tilt gears so it would work properly. After purchasing the film holders and lens.  .  . I was ready to go.  Here are a few photos of me out in the field.

The camera is in place and now it's time to focus.  .  .

Inserting the film holder and metering for an exposure.  .  .

Deciding on the proper exposure, setting the aperature and shutter speed, releasing the shutter.  .  .

Inserting the dark slide, exposures are made.  .  .

Time to pack up the camera and head for the next location.  .  .

.  .  . The image "INTO THE WOODS" was taken in North Central Texas. I no longer own the Korona.
I have a new horizontal 8x20 and a new vertical 8x20 camera. J.B. built the vertical 8x20 and you
can find out how he did it by clicking here.
