A dilapidated suspension bridge with a wooden runner floor recedes into the distance in this fine art photograph by J.B. Harlin. These bridges were abundant in rural Texas until they began to be replaced in the 1950's and 1960's. They are now a rare find, and usually in very poor condition. This image explores the deep emotional creativity available when using a high resolution large format negative and the extremely versatile black & white printing medium. The artist uses these tools to literally create a feeling within the finished fine art image that is only seen within the mind's eye. ORDER NO. 08-036-99 |
