Cigarettes, cigarette holder, train ticket, keys and watch suggest a time gone by; when life was much slower and much different. A delicately balanced still life photograph, GETTING READY FOR THE 7:10 was made using large format equipment with a film size of 4x5 inches. The large format negative produces the rich smooth texture and fine detail necessary for this type of artistic statement.
