This is a strange rock formation along the rugged coast of California. The entire coast along the shores of Point Lobos State Reserve is covered with stupendous and unusual formations of nature. This was Edward Weston's play ground. This image was made along the shore edge, on a foggy, fall day with pounding surf in the back ground. The negative was made using a 4x5 view camera to enable the photographer to capture the tiniest detail with maximum sharpness and depth. ORDER NO. 8-268-99 |
